What are you going to do if you see a person holding a Firearm in public?

What are you going to do if you see a person holding a Firearm in public?

My though, on a few things that are likely, could or may not happen.

1. You attack the person and attempt to disarm them. They feel your actions pose a threat of death or grievous bodily harm and shoot you. If you survive, the case goes to trial, and you find out that the neighbor’s Ring doorbell recorded the whole thing, and the man who shot you walks away and testifies against you on your pending charges.

2. You attack the person and attempt to disarm them. You wrestle the weapon from his grasp right about the time that the police show up. They tell you to drop the weapon, you start arguing that you’re the good guy here, and you took it from the man on the ground. The police shoot you.

3. You attack the person and attempt to disarm them. In the struggle, the weapon discharges, and a four-year-old girl is shot in the head. The responsible gun owner explains how you attacked him and attempted to steal his property. Regardless of the finger on the trigger, you caused it.

4. You attack the person and attempt to disarm them. They fight back, and you just get knocked out. Then you get charged with attempted robbery and probably get prison time.

Until the person holding the rifle proves that they are a threat to anyone’s safety, there’s no scenario that turns out well for you.

Says Kielma, I know what I'm going to do here.  I've trained and practiced. I know my plan.

The armed citizen specifically asked about “actions to subdue and disarm” the person holding the rifle prior to the commission of a crime. What’s your plan?
