Well… I certainly hope you're not American. Either way, why don't we accept that you're going to have to give up your right to free speech? I mean, just you, personally, are going to have to shut your mouth. To what end?
Oh, I don't know…. you shutting your mouth would definitely benefit the public more than law-abiding citizens giving up any of their rights, and your silence would almost guarantee that there won't be at least one incident of extreme violence. Almost.
Again, almost preventing violence is a better result towards decreasing violence than you're going to get if law-abiding citizens disarm. Do we get to talk about how what's in the public's best interests isn't even a factor in deciding issues of Constitutional law? I'm sure as fuck here for that discussion. In the interest of brevity and clarity, though, I'll just say that “American gun owners” aren't the slightest bit interested in your weird fetishes or hangups with inanimate objects. Put another way, we don't give one tiny little shit what you think.
