If I get pulled over by a law enforcement officer how do I tell him that I have a gun on me?

Gregg Kielma

Actual conversation the last time I was pulled over and first time in 35 years:

LEO: “Sir, are you aware of how fast-”

Me: (hands firmly in sight on the wheel) “Sorry, Sir, but I need to inform you I have a concealed weapon on my hip. I have a CCW.

LEO: “Thank you for telling me. You keep your weapon holstered and I’ll keep my weapon holstered, we both laughed. When was the last time you had a speeding ticket?

Me: 35 years ago.

LEO: Can I see your driver’s license.

Me: Yes, sir here you go.

LEO: Here you go drive safely.

Me: Thank you, sir. Please stay safe.

He let me go without even a warning. It’s not a big deal. Be honest and do everything your asked.
